Cafeto was founded in the 1980s by early pioneers of the specialty coffee industry in Springfield, Oregon. Since their beginnings, Cafeto has been dedicated to sustainability and social responsibility throughout their whole business model. Having already established strong relationships and formed a visual identity as a company, they were looking for a refresh of their overall look that was still recognizable to their current customers.
Quel was able to forge this path for Cafeto through a logo update, rotogravuere package design, and various kinds of printed collateral. A true but bold green central to the old Cafeto brand was retained in the refreshed look. We then introduced the addition of kraft brown paper and coffee leaf illustrations to bring a sense of environmental sustainability. Tightly aligned with their vision, Cafeto chose a compostable Biotre block bottom bag to hold their fresh organic beans.
